How it works

From enquiry to first session in days

A clear, five-step process. No hidden stages, no GP gatekeeping, no waiting lists.

5 minutes

You enquire

Complete a short form. Tell us about your child: what you're noticing, how long it's been going on, and how quickly you'd like support. There's no lengthy referral process and no GP letter required for self-referral.

You can also enquire by phone or ask your GP, school SENCO, or another professional to refer on your behalf. All routes lead to the same place: a call with a care navigator.

Within 24 hours

Care navigator calls within 24 hours

A Blip care navigator will call you within one working day. This is a real conversation, not a call centre script. The navigator will ask about your child's difficulties, your family's circumstances, and what you're hoping for from the service.

They will answer all your questions about how we work, what the process involves, and whether Blip is the right fit. If we're not, we'll tell you honestly and suggest who might be.

We match your child to the right clinician

Based on your child's presentation, age, and your family's preferences, we identify the most appropriate clinician on our team. We share their profile (including registration, background, and specialisms) before you commit to anything.

If you'd prefer a clinician of a particular gender, background, or specialism, let the navigator know. We accommodate preferences wherever we can.

Within 7 days

First session within seven days

Your first appointment is typically within seven days of your initial enquiry. All sessions use our dedicated clinical telehealth platform. You need nothing more than a quiet space and a device with a camera.

For assessments, the first session is usually a parent consultation, followed by sessions with your child. For therapy, the clinician will spend the first session getting to know your child and agreeing the focus together.

Throughout

Ongoing review with outcome measures

Progress is measured with validated clinical outcome tools at regular intervals, not left to subjective impression. Your clinician reviews the data with you and adjusts the plan if needed. You are kept fully involved.

At the end of a course of therapy or an assessment, you receive a written summary. We liaise with your GP, school, and other professionals with your consent, and remain available for follow-up questions.
